PCBs are known to attack the development of the human brain and is especially harmful to growing children. PCBs are associated with cancers in animals and are believed to be cancer causing n human beings as well.
PCBs are found in 1200 New York City Public Schools. This has been known to some extent since at least 2009. This is outrageous and not acceptable.
PCBs were banned in the United States in 1979 and worldwide in 2001.
Michael Bloomberg, Christine Quinn, Bill delBlasio and John Liu are dilly dallying, talking about taking ten years to clean up this situation. That is not acceptable. We are talking here about our children, their teachers, school administrators and staff being exposed to a serious poison day in and day out. Thousands of people. How can this not be an emergency??????
If there were to be a public health emergency like this on Park Avenue West End Avenue or Central Park West do you really think that the mayor and the candidates for mayor would be talking about fixing it in ten years???

I am a simple taxi driver who once worked in Child Protective Services. I am a father, a veteran of U.S. Army service, a lifetime New Yorker who went to the city's public schools like my children did. I love this city, I love you and your children and I am a hater! I hate the system and the people that are trampling on you and your children, their teachers, the school clerks and cleaners, the makers of school lunches. These are the people I care about, and that is why I cannot sit still and watch these jokers fiddle around for ten years while your children are made into ADHD cases and put at risk for cancer. No one should be calm about this situation!
And so, ridiculous as it sounds, I am using this website with its funny name to spread the word, and to challenge all of these clowns who care nothing about your kids by running a write-in campaign to become the next mayor of New York, and it's why I am asking you to spread this post around, tell your friends and neighbors about it, don't let these jokers come into your communities without giving an answer to the question: Why can't we clean out the PCBs from the schools in one year?? Why must it take ten years??? If people wee under this threat in the rich neighborhoods would you be telling them to wait for ten years???
