My wife has a friend whose husband is a taxi driver. She says that he makes $300 minimum per night.

I know that if he is a total bribing speeding thieving scumbag it could be so with lots off the meter too
Any taxi driver who makes a claim like that is a scumbag criminal a liar or both. Yes there are lucky nights where everything goes well and you can make $300+ without being a felon but you are lucky to have one night a week like that. And that' the truth.
