Bhairavi Desai & Co. cut a deal last Spring with David Yassky who was and in a sense still is the Chairman of the Taxi and Limousine Commission to sell out the yellowcab drivers and be awarded between $10 - 15 million a year of the drivers' tips to set up a sketchy benefit plan / patronage mill . Had it ever or if it does ever actually blossom it would still be a scam but Desai & Co. have put forth zilch, nada, no-thing at all.
Yesterday they posted an announcement on their facebook page touting a free heart health screening offered to the entire general public by the good people at Maimonides Hospital as though this were a benefit Desai is bestowing upon taxi drivers in return for skimming six cents off of evert yellowcab trip straight from the driver's' family dinner tables.
I visit Desai & Co's facebook page from time to time to challenge them but they prefer to take a licking while keeping on tricking. I have dared them to show their faces to the taxi drivers. They are in hiding and their Facebook page their twitter feed and their blog, read by dozens of people, is how they pretend to talk to 30,000 men and women they rip off daily with the active participation of the deBlasio administratiin.
