Uber's Travis Kalanick and taxi driving blogger Eugene Weixel and the driverless taxi of tomorrow and (would you believe it) the reptilian negatve population growth agenda.

Nothing is goIng to stop the driverless taxi of tommorow. The days of the penniless passenger with overdrawn credit card in hand are numbered along with the days of the driving proffession.  I want to share my thoughts with you about these facts as a long time New York taxi driver.

Google, Tesla and Uber are working in tandem towards the day that automobile driving will be as much a lost art as stonemasonry. They've got billions of dollars behind this project. In fact the driverless car is already a reality. No doubt it's not yet ready for prime time and  l do not doubt there will be an effort to make it a normal means of urban transportation within a very few years whether it be really ready or not. Travis Kalanick is in my opinion a Godless amoral Ayn Rand fascist who will lie, cheat, bribe, murder and steal to gain dominance over urban surface transportation worldwide. 

"Money talks bullshit walks" will be the order of the day. The era of the taxi fare beater will be over as only a fully loaded smart device already debited a deposit on the fare will get you into tommorow's dudeless taxi.While it is acceptable that a taxi driving dude like me be stiffed or played with counterfeit money the likes of Travis Kalanick do not and shall not accept pauper bullshit in  lieu of real bankable money.

Shirley Liu was a six year old girl who was mowed down by an app distracted pauper  Uber driver dude  in San Francisco this past New Year's Eve. Shirley Liu is dead and Kalanick says "not my problem." With $17,000,000,000 in hand and the adoration of our cold blooded media liars and dissimulators probably Kalanick will evade earthly responsibility for Shirley's life cut short. Shirley's family should seek restitution and redress from the underinsured pauper dude  who was making money for Kalanick, not from Kalanick or his corporate limited liability backers that include Google. So says Kalanick's lizard souled mouthpiece.

There will be other Shirly Liu type deaths (and I have  little doubt there already are some that never surfaced. ) With a seventeen billion dollar warchest and the alleigiance of mainstream media and opinion shapers on his side, Kalanick seems to be unstopable.

The Uberpeople of the world firmly believe that there are too many Untermenschen, untermenschen who exhale too much "poisonous" carbon ddioxide and often spoil an almost perfect view with their obesity, asymetries, bad teeth and ten dollar haircuts.

Not only taxi drivers and truckers and lawyers and maids need wonder where they and their children are going to fit into Google's robotized artificially intelligent workerless dystopia. Even traders are becoming redundant for the cold blooded (reptilian?) .01 % that looks to be sucking up all the wealth, writing all the rules and turning the rest of us into so much excess baggage.

I just got off the phone with Bill de Blasio

Bill de Blasio just called me. He asked me if I would serve as his Chair of the Taxi and Limousine Commission.  I thanked him and told him it would not be possible because I will be getting a lot of dental work done this year. 

Hr said "I'm sorry to hear that. Gene, I would have appreciated your service. Do you mind if I run a couple of ideas by you?"

"Fire away Bill." I replied.

"Gene  what do you think about rainbow  colored taxis that could only pick up in Chelsra?"

I told him it might be good politics but it would not be good policy.

He told me that if I were to change my mind I could always give him a call.

Long term unemployment insurance is expiring. If you live in the NYC area taxi driving might be your salvation

Really if you have been out of work and your unemployment benefits are ending driving a taxi might save you. You might need a little help from your family and friends if you have no savings as you get started but taxi driving in NYC is the ultimate survival gig. What the fuck is the matter with some people?

Okay, say it's around nine at night it' s seasonally cool evening and you want a taxi. You are, let's say on Lexington Avenue near 42nd Street.  You see a parked taxi. The roof light is off. The headlights are not on. You peer inside and you see this old man, eyes closed.,  That's me, hibernating. What the fuck makes you keep tapping on the driver window until I turn my head left and open my left eye? 

Does it fuckin' bother you that I can sleep on the job? Do you fuckin' think I am about to take you where the fuck you want to go?

Veteran New York Taxi Driver To Testify at Taxi and Limousine Commission December 14th To Urge Safety Considerations Be Primary in Ongoing Pilot Program. Says Hailo and Uber Driver Apps Foster Distracted Driving, Place Public at Risk.

Today Eugene Weixel a veteran of 23 years driving cab cited cyber security expert Joseph Steinberg's article in last December 14th's  Forbes  Magazine where he made the point regarding e hail apps that public safety ought to trump  any perceived convenience.

Weixel urges that the commissioners cease authorization of e hail app operations until they can honestly and confidently tell the public they have nothing to fear from these apps in the hands of characteristically tired taxi drivers who typically  spend 72 hours per week driving not to mention unpaid hours in garages and in long commutes.

It's lawsuit time! Taxi drivers to DeBlasio, Bloomberg, Yassky and Desai : Give us back our six cents!

Taxi drivers are angry over being tricked by the Taxi and Limousine Commission and the NOT TAXI DRIVER UNION called Taxi Workers Alliance into believing that the new six cents a ride charge being taken away from them every time they hit their taxi meters was going to buy them medical insurance  under Obamacare. What it is buying is a paid staff to " counsel" the drivers and "help" to understand Obamacare. The plan also offers !!help looking for low cost legal assistance againsst tickets given by David Yassky's Taxi and Limousine Commission and the racist anti immigrant NYPD cops. This plan is a cruel joke that is payoff for Bharavi Desai , who never won a union election for her turning against the drivers and helping Bloomberg get his thousands of green taxis to take the food out of our childrens' mouths. This six hundred dollar a year Bloomberg,/ Yassky/ Desai rip off adds insult to injury.

The Taxi Workers Alliance long ago fought for taxi drivers. Those days are over and long gone.

Desai claims to have 17,000 members. Really? You sure you don't mean 17 members?

Desai's organization has no lawful authority to negotiate for drivers. For one thong under the lsw the drivers are independent contractors who have no right to collective bargaining. This is why the old taxi driver union is dead. We need this law to be changed but for now that is the law..If Yassky and Bloomberg really want to help us why not campaign to make us legal employees again? No doubt Yassky will soon be joining a high power law firm and Bloomberg could finance the campaign with what he spends in an ordinary week end. No, they want to double the number of taxis and pave the way for outfits like Hailo and Uber to eventually erase taxi drivers as a job classification. And Desai is helping them with all of it.

We need to go to the campaign headquarters of Bill deBlasio, who we already know will be the next mayor snd make it clear to him that we expect him to give us our six cents back. If enough of us agree we van plan a protest soon. I am also investigating the possibility of a law suit for us to get our money back.

How many uninsured taxi drivers are on the road this minute? I have some questions for David Yassky about Faysal Kabir Mohammed Himon

Faysal Kabir Mohammed Himon was not insured to drive the taxi he was piloting when he drove up onto a midtown sidewalk and caused a young British tourist to lose her leg. As a consequence he has just taken a thirty day license suspension. Hold the presses. I have a few questions here....

How could this guy log on electronically and drive that taxi day after day not being insured to drive it? What is this high tech log on dooo dad that you mandate for every taxi there for? Decoration? Because someone who knows someone had some stuff to sell?

Seriously Mister Commissioner wouldn't it be your job not let an uninsured driver pilot a yellow taxi? How many uninsured drivers are piloting yellow cabs on New York streets right this minute?

An inquiring mind wants to know.

Is the New York Taxi and Limousine Commission hiding Hailo and Uber statistics? It looks that way to me.

Back on August sixth the Taxi and Limousine Commission released the June numbers for its Hailo and Uber pilot program. Logically I would guess that the July numbers would have been releases around September sixth and the August numbers would be soon on their way. The June numbers looked pretty bad for Fred Wilson of Union Square Ventures and the other big money backers of these useless  app toys for bored little boys. I dont know what sort of CPR David Yassky's crew did on the numbers due last month but apparently these numbers are not yet ready for prime time. That's okay Dave you have until January when you say good bye to the TLC. How's the job search going?

How to file a complaint against a taxi driver in NYC who won't take you because you are Black

It's really so easy and the results can be very satisfying. I am posting this at some risk but I want to contribute to solving this problem.

First understand why this still happens even with so many Black taxi drivers and so few white taxi drivers. It is because experience shows that overall it is more economically productive to pick up white, latino and Asian passengers than it is to pick up Black passengers. That hasn't likely been proven in any study but thousands of taxi drivers will tell you the same thing. They will also tell you that non Black passengers as a whole present fewer problems in general. Taxi drivers believe these things. It might not be fair it puts a whole group of individuals into a " bag" that is created by a relative few people but there it is. Deal with it?

New York City and State have really great laws and regulations against all kinds of discrimination. They just don't get much enforcement. The rules for taxi drivers sound strong and strict and if Michael Bloomberg had ever actually wanted to he could have cut these incidents by 80 percent by enforcing these regulations. It isn't as though you are complaining about the weather. Something actually could have been and still could be done about it.

Okay the reality is this situation doesn't bother Bloomberg much at all. So what can you do about it?

Call 311. Get the drivers medallion number off the roof light (it will be something like 9X99) and any other detail like the date and time of the incident and if possible - but not really necessary- a description of the driver, his name, his hack number. The basic thing you will need is the medallion number  and the time and place of the incident.

Hack number helps (something like 6330993) but you don't need it.

You will have to file a complaint. CALL 311.You will not have to go in person to a trial.

Punishment will be swift, certain and no joke to the driver. So please pass this information around and follow through.
