Christopher Dorner appears to have been a misfit cop, not able to "go along to get along" with the notorious LA thug cop culture, a culture so odious that it became necessary for the Federal Government to take charge. Dorner was a complainer. He didn't take kindly to being called ni%%er by white cops. He Didn't think it was cute when fellow cops serenaded a Jewish cop with songs about massacring Jews in Nazi ghettos.
Cop culture is abominable. Here in New York we were given a display of this thug culture in the Bronx ticket fixing scandal. For reasons unknowable the Bronx District Attoney decided to look into the long known of system under which Patrolman's Benevolent Association delegates in each precinct had access to computers that allowed them to make traffic summonses vanish, including drunk driving and domestic violence accusations, (presumably this remains practice in the NYPD outside the Bronx today). Cops in good standing with their delegates could make traffic summonses and even domestic violence reports vanish for their families and friends. When the Bronx D.A. actually went ahead and criminally prosecuted some of these uniformed thugs the cops staged a demonstration/riot outside the Bronx courthouse .Now, the NYPD's reputation is sterling as opposed to that of the LAPD of 2006, when even the mainstream media now admit that racism, brutality and corruption were rampant. This is the culture that Dorner could not fit in with, as much as he tried to.
Dorner was never proven wrong - no judge ever said that he lied about his training officer kidking a mentally ill man in the face. On the contrary,

Dorner was never proven wrong - no judge ever said that he lied about his training officer kidking a mentally ill man in the face. On the contrary,
In 2010 the case was examined by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David P. Yaffe who upheld the LAPD's decision to fire Dorner.[16]
Judge David P. Yaffe said he was "uncertain whether the training officer kicked the suspect or not" but nevertheless upheld the department's decision to fire Dorner, according to LA Times [20] In that case, Dorner could be legally fired for filing a false police report even if the report was true. This enraged Dorner.[21] Dorner appealed his termination by the LAPD Board of Rights by filing a writ of mandamus with the Los Angeles County Superior Court, which upheld the LAPD's action. He then appealed to the California Court of Appeal for the Second Appellate District, which affirmed on October 3, 2011, the lower courts ruling. Under California law, administrative findings (in this case by the LAPD) are entitled to a presumption of correctness and the petitioner (in this case Dorner) bears the burden of proving that they were incorrect. The appeals court concluded that the LAPD Board of Rights had substantial evidence for its finding that Dorner was not credible in his allegations against Sergeant Evans.[22]
On February 9, 2013, LAPD Chief Charlie Beck ordered a review of the disciplinary case that led to Dorner's dismissal.[23][24] Chief Beck said officials would re-examine the allegations by Dorner that his law enforcement career was undone by racist colleagues.[24][25][26]
