This is also a challenge to every other candidate and to both Mayor Bloomberg and Governor Cuomo.
Weixel plans as mayor to utilize the free college course you can find on the internet to give victims of stop and frisk opportunities to earn college degrees and get employment.
Under the plan the city government will accept completion of these on line courses as being true college work, with an exam for each course to be given by the city government,
Governor Andrew Cuomo has expressed his concerns over the impact of the convictions for displaying marijuana on the lives of these young people. All Cuomo need do is to adopt this plan as his own. He need not thank Weixel or anyone else.
Bloomberg, concerned with his legacy, has promised to give away half of his fortune when he dies. Frankly this problem should not have to wait that long to be addressed. Bloomberg could very easly fund this program out of his own pocket with a donation of five percent of his personal fortune (one billion dollars).
