My Slogan: We Need To Do This!
I put my name on wiki's list of potential independent candidates last night and today it's gone. I see this is a rough and tumble game.
Now I'm not going to compare myself with Mr. Spitzer - he fought some tough characters on Wall Street and they found his weakness and zapped him, or should I say they helped him zap himself.
But Tony Danza!? Come on! A faux taxi driver who appeared on a show whose producers ripped off the personas of real people who were living day to day!?
I have more chops and cred than Danza does! Tony was born in NYC but he went to High School on Long Island, and he taught a class in English in Philadelphia for one year and made some dough off of that via a TV show. I was a Child Protective Specialist (yeah, baby snatcher) for over ten years, eight of those in Emergency Children's Services where I worked with Special Victims and Sex Abuse Squad detectives , doctors, nurses, beat cops, teachers, school principals, social workers and was involved very much up close and personal in hundreds of family situations in New York City. That combined with a million miles of taxi driving the streets of New York City with hundreds of conversations and hundreds of thousands of observations, all means that I know this city more than most people. Growing up in Queensbridge also counts for some chops I would say, as does my constant residence in this city over 66 years, at one time or other in each and every borough. No one loves New York City more passionately than I do.

Seriously now. Could I be a mayor of this town? I'd have to delegate authority to people who know their game well.
For example I'd ask Diane Ravitch to head up the school system or to give me a good short list of people to do that.
