No paid sick days - a very bad idea but reality for millions

And let's just forget about these hellions themselves for argument's sake. (And I'm one of them - in fact if I call in sick I could end up paying the lease for the taxi that night.)

It's very bad public health policy.  Think for a minute. Someone goes to work on the subway with a communicable disease. She sneezes, coughs, breathes. Well, guess what?  You're sick!

Your taxi driver not only has no sick days he probably has no medical coverage either. He hands you our change, or goes to the back to clean up garbage. His infection is now ready to jump you. Have a nice day. And I hope you have sick days where you work.
