The Dorner Case and gummint stenography

An LA cop accuses another cop of kicking a mentally ill person who was on the ground in the face. The mentally ill person has injuries indicating he's been kicked in the face. The cop who makes the accusation is fired and the alleged kicker has no consequences.

The fired cop goes bizerk (everyone ought to read his manifesto though, especally in light of the police shooting of two small Latina women who they mistook for this huge black man, Christopher Dornan. Dornan.)

Yes, the cops obviously don't want to capture this guy, they don't want any trial. Why would that be?  The NYT went about their gummint stenography task but in this day and age, they feel they have to publish the comments of their readership and these are refreshing to read!

Clearly the cops and their steno pool have a PR problem! The steno pool cannot pass this off without people saying "wait a minute! The threat to public safety in Southern California right now is the cops!"

Dorner manhunt: LAPD will give new truck to women shot by officers

Bullet-riddled truck
Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck will provide a new truck to two women injured by officers in pursuit of fugitive ex-cop Christopher Jordan Dorner, a police spokesman said Saturday.
Margie Carranza, 47, and her mother, Emma Hernandez, 71, were delivering newspapers in Torrance early Thursday when LAPD officers riddled their blue Toyota Tacoma with bullets. Hernandez was shot twice in the back, and Carranza sustained minor injuries from broken glass.
Beck has called the incident “a tragic misinterpretation” by officers working under "incredible tension” hours after Dorner allegedly shot three police officers, one fatally.
At the time, Dorner was believed to be driving a gray Nissan Titan.
Hernandez has been released from the hospital and is recuperating at home. Cmdr. Andrew Smith said he and Beck met separately with the two women Saturday. The truck will be purchased using money from donors, Smith said.
