I woke up today thinking about John Brown, American hero. He is slandered in classrooms all over our country, even today called "crazy."
Perhaps, yes, when it came to slavery he was "crazy" "Not willing to listen" "Monomanical". Guy just wouldn't calm down and listen to reason - he hated slavey, thought it was an abomination against The Creator and wouldn't put up with it.
I swiped these lingks from Digital History. http://www.digitalhistory.uh.edu/learning_history/brown/john_brown_insane.cfm
