Michael Bloomberg: That nasty little man who just will not go away. Open your eyes and try not to be one of his enablers.

Lots of people say that New York City is so much a better place to live and visit in since the advent of the rule of Giuliani/Bloomberg, Certainly things have changed, The place looks a lot prettier, at least the parts where you con't see many dark faces walking around. Places that used to be known to be scary to be in are now playgrounds for the affluent. The Empire State Building and our magnificent old bridges are all lit up at night in pretty colors and they sure are pretty. Not a whole lot of meat gets packed in the meat packing district any more. And The Church of The Realized /Fantasy is hardly remembered at all. Same thing the Harmony Burlesque on White Street.

All those movie houses that lined West 42nd Street that showed Tarzan and Three stooges and National Geographic films of women on remote islands who did not wear blouses and wrongly dishonestly called porno houses by the prostituted press - they were places where homeless people could stay for hours on end for little money- all gone. The street prostitution scene, 99.99 percent gone. Now it's on publications and web sites that Goldman Sachs invests in.

Pretty soon Harlem won't be the largest black city. Maybe already that's the case.  I could go on and on. No Puerto Ricans, hardly any at all walking Borinquen Place,

Yeah, it's so much nicer now.

So, one reason, or so we are told by Michael Bloomberg for this pretty state of affairs is that his cops stop and frisk pretty much at random, hundreds of thousands of mainly people of African /descent , Some sticklers for human rights and that old piece of paper called The Constitution of The United /States object to this and other similar policies (like arresting ?Bronx residents for loitering outside and even inside the apartment buildings where they live) . You see, as Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly has said that Cops targeted blacks and Latinos as part of their “stop-and-frisk” policy to “instill fear in them,” NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly admitted in a private meeting with lawmakers, a state Senator testified ....

So now there is a probability of a nominally independent monitor to oversee police behavior particularly towards those groups of people who are darker, poorer, and powerless. This is so egregious a situation this stop and frisk, these loitering arrests, this brutality, that even ?Christine Quinn,  Bloomberg's mini me, has to say she's for monitoring the cops.

So what does "Bloomberg, whose third term as elected emperor is coming to aclose at the end of ?December say? That (t)he powerfully wealthy Bloomberg plans on taking advantage of the upcoming elections to gather City Council support specifically for his once-vetoed stop-and-frisk bill.

We know that money dominated our politics but we don't ask ourselves why -  it's because we allow it! What every NEW YORKER WHO WANTS TO END THE DOMINATION OF MONEY IN OUR POLITICAL PROCESS NEEDS TO DO IS SUPPORT FIORST OF ALL EVERY CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE THAT BLOOMBERG OPPOSE - EVEN IF EVERY POSITION THAT CANDIDATE TAKES IS ODIOS TO YOU, Second, consider this: writing in the name of a penniless taxi driver for mayor - me, Eugene Weixel. Why" Because I represent everything that is against the Bloomberg one percenter legacy. Because I will spend less than three hundred dollars on my campaign This is our way to not sit at home and grumble and to not give in to the rigged electoral system - to vote for the guy who does not want your campaign contribution, who is clearly the one who is against money politics and who will if given the chance do the necessary complete make over ado over re do and purging necessary to have tranquility for the 99 percent. I will abolish the NYPD and replace it with something totally new and much more effective - an armed and aware population that chooses from among itself those who will enforce the laws in a democratic process in communities and work places.

Search this blog for posts regarding NYPD and open your mind to something new.

And tell Bloomberg that his moeny will not influence your way of thinking and voting.

Play their game but not by their rules!
