Dear fellow New York taxi drivers. I was wrong about the Obamacare deadline but right about the New York Taxi Workrrs Alliance

The deadline has been extended until March.

It is still a fact that the TLC has no legal right to take six cents a ride tax from you in rewarding Bhairavi Desai for joining with Bloombrg. Why should you pay every day until you stop working for one counseling srssion that other people offer for free? Bhairavi Desai seems to think that because she is only taking just a few cents a ride from you that you will allow yourself to be robbed day in and day out.

Obama care will be a good thing for taxi drivers because if you do not have medical insurance you will getting it at low cost. Many of us will now be able to get medical coverage for free
The law requires you to have medical insurance by January 1 or you will be charged extra tax by the IRS. This has no connection with the six cents a ride tax that the TLC is taking from you for eight weeks now and that six cents is not getting you Obamacare insurance.
That  six cents is being held for the Taxi Worker Alliance who once said that they would have their Obamacare Navigation (counseling and advice about  medical insurance). ready in the middle of November. They also promise that in the future they will be giving you disability insurance. Insurance comes through an insurance company. As of today we do not know the name of the insurance company they will be signing with on your behalf. If you have questions about the services you are getting or not getting for your six cents a trip call 212-627-5248 the Taxi Workers Alliance benefits office. Ask them to send you  a benefit package.
TO  GET ANSWERS ABOUT OBAMACARE (ALSO CALLED THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT) call 211. You do not have time to waste on people who are not ready to do what they have promised.  Please post

It's lawsuit time! Taxi drivers to DeBlasio, Bloomberg, Yassky and Desai : Give us back our six cents!

Taxi drivers are angry over being tricked by the Taxi and Limousine Commission and the NOT TAXI DRIVER UNION called Taxi Workers Alliance into believing that the new six cents a ride charge being taken away from them every time they hit their taxi meters was going to buy them medical insurance  under Obamacare. What it is buying is a paid staff to " counsel" the drivers and "help" to understand Obamacare. The plan also offers !!help looking for low cost legal assistance againsst tickets given by David Yassky's Taxi and Limousine Commission and the racist anti immigrant NYPD cops. This plan is a cruel joke that is payoff for Bharavi Desai , who never won a union election for her turning against the drivers and helping Bloomberg get his thousands of green taxis to take the food out of our childrens' mouths. This six hundred dollar a year Bloomberg,/ Yassky/ Desai rip off adds insult to injury.
The Taxi Workers Alliance long ago fought for taxi drivers. Those days are over and long gone.
Desai claims to have 17,000 members. Really? You sure you don't mean 17 members?
Desai's organization has no lawful authority to negotiate for drivers. For one thong under the lsw the drivers are independent contractors who have no right to collective bargaining. This is why the old taxi driver union is dead. We need this law to be changed but for now that is the law..If Yassky and Bloomberg really want to help us why not campaign to make us legal employees again? No doubt Yassky will soon be joining a high power law firm and Bloomberg could finance the campaign with what he spends in an ordinary week end. No, they want to double the number of taxis and pave the way for outfits like Hailo and Uber to eventually erase taxi drivers as a job classification. And Desai is helping them with all of it.
We need to go to the campaign headquarters of Bill deBlasio, who we already know will be the next mayor snd make it clear to him that we expect him to give us our six cents back. If enough of us agree we van plan a protest soon. I am also investigating the possibility of a law suit for us to get our money back.

Taxi drivers for Credico 2013

https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=726227204070519

Randy Credico is running for Mayor of New York on the Tax Wall Street Party line. His plans include reducing the heavy fines put on taxi and livery drivers who provide transportation for millions of New Yorkers and our guests every day and who struggle with low pay, no sick days, paid vacation or medical benefits. We taxi drivers are taxed fifty cents every time the meter goes on - money that is given to the corrupt Metropolitan Transit Authority.

Randy Credico believes that there should be a tax on Wall Street transactions just as there is a tax on taxi rides and hot dogs. He would use this money to guarantee a job to every New Yorker at at least $12.00 per hour. He would bring back tuition free City University and end NYPD and ACS (Child so called Protective Services) brutality and racial arrogance. He would clean these two departments top to bottom.

People who cannot vote still can support Randy Credico's fight for a better New York for the working class for the poor and for the middle classes. Make a sign and display it. Tell people about Randy Credico. Look up Credico 2013 organization on line and make copies of his campaign poster. Whether you are a citizen or not Randy Credico, a Hispanic man whose life is one of a doer not just a talker is your candidate.

Do not believe the professional liars who try to bury this campaign and do not let them do it. This is our fight. We can win it and make this city and this country and this world a better place.

Me, Noel Ignatiev race treason, Black people who can't get a taxi and black people who somehow do get taxis but don't pay the taxi driver the fare.

Noel Ignatiev believes that white privilege can be abolished if ten percent of whites become traitors to the "white race" and therefore loyal to the human race. He says that according to economists if a country's currency becomes diluted by ten percent counterfeit then the legal currency is destroyed since no one will trust it or accept it. He says if ten percent of whites no longer identify with their rulers and cops then these rulers and cops will no longer trust whiteness and will treat whites the same as they treat ,Blacks.

How would this theory explain why Black taxi drivers either won"t take Black passengers or try to screen out "types" of Black people from taking control by becoming passengers?

Well when most NY cabbies were white native born the answer was easy: they're racists. Now when so many taxi drivers are Black this theory gets thrown into doubt st the least. I am here to report that less than ninety percent of young Black males who get into a taxi will pay the full fare or any fare let alone leave a customary tip. They are counterfeit passengers. Call them revolutionaries or call them something else but they make it difficult for others.

This last shift I got beat out of $40 and an hour of my life by a young revolutionary Bronx resident. When I took him I knew we were talking fifty fifty not ten ninety.. Fifty fifty is my educated estimate of counterfeit young Black male
e Bronxward bound riders.

I am philosophical about it. I know I have benefited from Blacks being oppressed and I move on to the next Black passenger. I even sympathize with the guy who did this to me but trust me. I am one in a million.

Why I uninstalled my @HailoNYC driver app. #driversafety #nytaxi. (Hailo Driver, New York)

(Corrected July 6, 2013).

Anyone can be both a data input clerk and a driver,  Let's say I have a data input job during the week and I drive a taxi on weekends. No problem that should concern the pubic. It is a problem that the general public should know about if someone is driving and inputing data at the same time.

At the start of every shift the Hailo driver taps an icon that commits him not to use the app unless he is standing. Then the real world comes along.

Input data like how much the passenger paid, call the passenger, read a map and summon it on your smart phone, all supposedly while "standing." Get real.

Then there are other bugs. The app the passenger taps gives the driver a location - most of the time an accurate one, but it's a house address even where the address does not exist in reality. Take 203
East 92nd Street, Manhattan. Good luck looking for it as the passenger stands waiting for you. He has your picture, but you are inside one of those ubiquitous look alike yellow taxis. Darn, missed him, Now what. Back up? Circle the block after you call him (while legally standing o course).. Get real once again.

then I haD A classic, The passenger gets into another one of those ubiquitous taxis after I have passed a good passenger by to get to his spot. (another make believe address BTW). Then still another classic. The app tells me the passenger is on Lexington Avenue between 118th Street and 117th Street. Trouble is, he isn't. He's on 116th Street. I call him (of course while legally standing) and he tells mr hr  on Lenox Avenue, he is waiting . I imagine that he  being black and male he could be having the devil's own time stopping a cab. He;s frustrated and flustered abd so in his mind he substuted Lenox for Lexington).  Lots of bvery good luck with this one.

Hailo tells NYC drivers that they can increase their incomes by up to thirty percent. I very much doubt that. Then there is this little bit of this and that---
